Does anyone know any Pharmcists that are into the selling portion of the pharmaceutical industry? M guess would be you would be paid a lot more since you knew about all the drugs you were selling? Also Docs would know that you knew what you were talking about.

one of my friend is a drug rep for pifzer. he said the pharmacist trains drugs reps on how medicine works and how it is better than the competitors' bla bla bla. but i think if you really like selling, it is there as an option.

They do prefer the cushier jobs rather than being out there selling-the Pharm D's here are compensated very well. There are some that take on Clinical Account Executive roles and make tons of money. Pharmaceutical sales reps work too hard and you get burnt out really quick-I can vouch for that.

My older brother and his wife are both pharmacists and involved in pharmaceutical sales. They see it as a big advantage when they go into a doctor's office with a name tag that says Pharm-D.. They feel like the docs take them more seriously and they therefore get better results, i.e. they make darn good money! 😀
