money is the TOP reason why everyone picked pharmacy, medicine or dentistry etc...
This is simply not true.

money is the TOP reason why everyone picked pharmacy, medicine or dentistry etc...
EVERYONE cares about money and money is the TOP reason why everyone picked pharmacy, medicine or dentistry etc...NO ONE will be in the healthcare profession if it did NOT pay six figures. The End. Please don't lie. LOL
If you don't care about money than why don't you work for FREE for the rest of your life?
The thought was that those who couldnt make it into medical school went into pharmacy back then. There are so many things wrong with this post I don't know where to start. First of all, how are we supposed to work for free? What about bills, kids, your house, and necessities? There is a difference between caring about money and only doing something because of the money. Yes, I care about how much I make and everyone should if they're smart, because anybody who has been poor knows how horrible it is. But money is not the TOP reason why EVERYONE picked healthcare. It may be true for you, but it certainly is not for me. If money was the TOP reason for why you picked Pharmacy then it sucks to be you, because it sounds like you wont be passionate about your job. So my question is, why dont you go into medicine or dentistry? I mean, they make more money, right? If money was your top reason then you wouldn't be in pharmacy. My point being, there are dozens of factors to look into when deciding your career. Yes money is important, but going into a career you're not passionate about seems like hell. Whats the point of making all that money if you're not happy everyday? The worst type of healthcare professional is the one whose only in it for the money. But before the year 2000 Pharmacist made around 50-60k and physicians made about 175,000 during that time. Pharmacist were not payed a lot, so why did people go into pharmacy?
So I should "really help people" by giving my money to the Gates Foundation? The point you're making is that the money I earn makes a difference because I can give it to others. I don't think that's how you make a real difference in the community. Otherwise, you're suggesting that everyone in this forum should be giving portions of their pharmacist salary to charity! I'm not demonizing money, I'm just not putting it on a pedestal.

interesting because I heard that pharmacy is in decline right now..
interesting becuase you just started 4 consecutive new threads on the pre pharm forum about your attempts at entering pharm school 😱
Well if you're passionate about something, you're not necessarily going to led the job market dictate whether you should enter the field now should you? I was just stating something I heard. Instead of stalking people, maybe you should do something more productive.
Don't worry, he stalked me, too.
So he is an official stalker. Thanks for setting the record straight 🙂
