Do employers/companies look for candidates with excellent computer skills or basic knowledge of MS Office is enough?

I personally tend to have a lot of computer skills such as PHP, databases, and web development, don't know if any would come in use..😕

I feel like I'm wasting my time....

I'd say a very basic knowledge is all most positions require.
