Has anyone read any EBM re: hepatotoxicty in patients using both ASA and Tylenol chronically but in normal doses? I recently heard (second hand) that the degree of free radical production when using both drugs is too great for some regions of the liver that are physiologically "less oxygenated" causing a breakdown in glutathione's ability to control the FR's. This then results in liver toxicity (fulminant hepatitis to quote the source) and, in addition, a nephropathy (analgesic nephropathy).

I am especially curious as my arthritic father is currently gobbling both daily!

Thanks in advance
