Hey! I'm interested in the field of drug development and study. Would a degree in Pharmacology be ideal? What else does this field deal with? What job opportunities could I get? How long does it take to get a degree and what is the average salary?
Finally, what are some companies I could work in?

Would an additional degree in Pharmacy be ideal?

Thank you for answering my questions.

Typically a graduate degree in pharmacology would suffice. Length of training would be college + 5-6yrs of a PhD. Then one could work as a senior scientist at a pharma R&D division. The PhD would give one quite a bit of flexibility within pharma and biotech. Avg salaries vary by company and position but go from upper 5 figures to lower 6 figures.

Amazon is going to start dwelling into pharmacy; from what I hear they're about splurge on hiring pharmacists. Stay away from brick-and-mortar retail though :p
