i'm new to this site. anyways, i'm a food nutirition and health student at UBC, but my goal is med school. just wondering, do you guys think that pharmacy would be a good idea, or should i stick with food science? thanks!

look, u're obviously looking at pharm as a stepping stone. So ask yourself, 'would I be happy as a pharmacist if i can never make it into med school"?
if the answer is no, then don't bother.
if the answer is 'maybe? i guess i can settle'... what do you know about pharmacy as a career? have u job-shadowed? would you regret it down the road? especially wen you have to communicate with the doctors and wait for them to call you back to correct prescriptions etc etc.. would u be bitter and wished you were in their shoes instead?
if ur reasoning is that u'll apply to pharm then go to med school.... good luck raising your GPA in the pharm curriculum 😱
bottom line: you should do a major in something that you are interested in... or else you'll be stuck in dead-ends if you never make it into that med school of yours.
