Hi!

I was searching www.studentdoctor.net and in this website on the left hand side there is "Applicant Profiles" link this link will takes you to MDapplicants.com website where you can select a Medical school and get information about students who applied for that schools. Thatway, you can see the profiles of accepted, rejected, and interviewed students. From this Pre-Pharmacy students can know what the accepted Pharmacy students have(GPA, experience, EC, PCAT, etc...). MDapplicants.com is part of the Student Doctor Network. Wouldn't it be helpful for Pre-Pharmacy students if Student Doctor Network find something like this?

I was just wondering.

Thanx!

Excellent websource on pharmacy applicants! These stats are much appreciated!!@!! THANKS.

That list is a little outdated already, since it's pre-Pharmcas. Some of these profiles include PCAT requirements, and reflect the huge increase in the number of applications for the 2004-2005 school year:

The old aacp list for my school, Midwestern (Glendale, AZ), shows that the applicant to enrollment ratio was 3:1. This year, pharmcas reported 1230 applications for 130 seats, which is a 10:1 ratio. 😱 That's a big difference.

And from what we heard when we interviewed Midwestern had received somewhere between 1500 and 1600 applications (maybe the 1230 is the number of complete applications????)

Thanks! Those links really helped. It gave me a better insight of what is required. =) 😀

How come Nevada College of Pharmacy (aka University of Southern Nevada)wasn't listed? That school is accredited right?

Very true. At the same time schools are going deeper into the applicant pool since the PharmCAS inflation is leading individuals to apply to 3 times as many schools as they otherwise would have. The competitiveness isn't increasing linearly with the number of applicants per seat. So, before and after figures are good to look at, I guess. Not all schools have data on the PharmCAS list either. My school put nothing there but the number of people interviewed and accepted. AACP gets the whole layout. I think we will see a new list soon from AACP that is up to date like the PharmCAS page, but more comprehensive. Both sites are definitely good to look at for a feel of the schools. It will be interesting to see how the average gpa, etc is affected by PharmCAS.
