hello guys,
i'm just curious. do anyone of you know anybody or even yourself who finishes pharmd. program then go into medical, i.e MD, DO. beyond pharmd, many pursue residency as it may lead you toward clinical opportunities. not only about clinical, i'm more interested in primary care duties which can be realized after MD or DO. does any pharmd. thought about this? constructive feedbacks please.

If you want to be a doctor, I'd save the 100K + (plus 4 years of lost wages) you'd be spending on Pharm school and go straight to med school. Why spend your whole life in school? Unless you're trying to avoid the real world...as I fear some are...

Our school has a PharmD/PA program. You complete your first 3 years of school (as usual), then instead of doing rotations 4th year, you start the PA program (which is a year long -full year) and THEN go on a joint PA/ PharmD rotation

its pretty hard to get into from what I hear , but it can be pretty rewarding for those who want to do primary care work, but also still do something along the lines of pharmacy....

you finish with a pharmd AND a PA license (provided you pass your boards of course)... and you've done it in 5 years, instead of 4 pharmd + 4MD
