hi.. i have a question .. if you wanna make a cream of 30gm in such if you dispense 1.5 gm of it it will contain 10% of medication ?? how you gonna make it???
( in my opinion if make 1000 gm of cream with concentration of 10% ... whether you dispense 1.5gm or 10gm the dose will have a concentration of 10% .. is this right ??)

Yes, you are right with your example. If you make 10% cream, no matter what quantity you make of it, whatever portion you take out of it will always be 10%.

Think about it it, you have Clobetasol cream 0.05%. If I take a pea size amount, or I squeeze out the entire tube, the concentration of active ingredient is the same throughout.

I am fine with those comments , i have seen a lot of them and i know how to deal with it ... But i was gonna show this discussion to the pharmacist and i did not wanna show her such words or arguements... Thanks for your advise

If you pour a shot of tequila from the tequila bottle, do the properties of the tequila change in anyway? This is very simple...why do people need calculations and references to understand this?
You can conduct an experiment for your doubters:

1. Run down the hallway and buy a bottle of pepsi from the vending machine.
2. Grab a cup from someone.
3. Pour some pepsi from the bottle into the cup.
4. Ask them if there's a difference between the pepsi in the bottle vs the pepsi in the cup. If they still doubt you, ask them to taste it.

I suspect there was a language barrier here that lead to a misunderstanding. Most lay people understand the concept that a 10% cream will be 10% regardless of amount of cream used, let alone pharmacists.

This whole situation is bizaare. So if I am following this, the OP is working with a pharmacist who thinks that if you have a 10% cream and you squeeze out part of, the cream is suddenly no longer 10%? So the OP, who is apparently a technician or ancilliary personnel is trying to convince the pharmacist that the cream would still be 10%?

Surely there is a supervisor somewhere? Either there is a severe misunderstanding due to language, or the pharmacist seems like they are having major issues effecting their practice.

OP, I suggest you go to the pharmacists supervisor and explain this situation.

Right. After making a cream with "concentration of 10 percent", any portion of the made cream will have "concentration of 10 percent". The "concentration of 10 percent" will be the same in any scoop or spoon you take out of made cream.

If this is a life compounding issue of making cream, please explain further about the case.
