So Kali....what do you think....long hair or short? Skirts or pants? Flip flops or high heels?

How do we know what you might like???? Get off your you-know-what & find out what you like the old way......doing your homework!

Sorry - I don't mean to mock you...but seriously, how would anyone know what you might like? You have to make that decision for yourself, otherwise....its not yours!

Good luck...check out the FAQ's....come back with anything those threads don't give you....we'll talk more.

You can probably finish your Bus MGT degree and take the prereqs for pharm school. Some pharm schools won't look down on that, others may. You never REALLY know what they will think.

You will have a hard time with a lower GPA, but you have lots of room to have a good science GPA since you are starting at bare bones. Lots of people think pharmacy is for them, some people know pharmacy is for them. You won't know till you try it. The prereqs will give you a minor idea of what pharm school will be like. Why don't you try to volunteer or get a tech job to see it for yourself while trying out the classes.

do u guys know if USC or Western Pharm College prefers a major in bio or chem for pharm?

Having taught at Cal State Fullerton for 2 years...and as a USC RX alum, if I was on the admissions committee at USC, I would take a buisiness major with solid science GPA over all other boring Bio, Chem, and Biochem majors.

Get your business degree. Then get a pharmD then an MBA.

So, if you love math and science, then why have you spent 2 years plus in business?? No, I don't think you would need to have the science bachelor's - you can take the prereqs you need and still have another degree. However, you need to go into this realizing that it is going to be a LOT harder and more time consuming than the business classes you've taken so far.

You can finish your business degree, or not, whatever, as long as you get your prereqs done. You can do them at the same time. Most people do have a sciency undergrad because the classes count for both prereq and degree. Maybe your gpa isnt that great because your not really interested in your major, maybe not, but you need to know that you will have to bust your butt in your prereqs to get into school. At least a 3.0 to even interview.

If you havent yet, get a job as a tech for a while, see what the inside of a pharmacy runs like. Talk to the pharmacists and see what they do. I certainly dont want to push anyone away from pharmacy, but your making a big jump in focus, and you really need to be informed about it first.
