Hi, im a H.S senior looking for some Pharmacy programs to apply to

-can anyone list some good pharmacy programs preferably 6 year ones and what the requirements are for getting accepted like GPA and SAT/ACT scores

for ex i know St. Johns has one but i couldn't find the requirements for it can someone tell me the requirement for this program especially along with others.

-if you could provide some links that would really help =P

-on another side note, if you go into one of these programs and complete them and ur all done, can you go on to pre-med if you so choose? like does it cover the same requirements?

thanks.

click on this link... http://www.mahalo.com/how-to-become-a-pharmacist there's awhole list of schools that offer 0-6 and early assurance pharmacy programs for high schoolers such as us.

and as for requirements? look in the FAQ section of the prefered school of interest.

here you go... http://www.stjohns.edu/admission/undergraduate/important_deadlines/pharmacy_faqs.stj and as for the others? ooh, i'm sure you'll figure it out... I DID 😉

can you go on to pre med...? why NOT???

does it cover the same requirements? no... but, a PharmD, does have its advantages in that it will provide you with a solid basis in pharmacology along with a rough background in many of the classes that you will take in medical school. it will come especially in handy when you go on your rotations where doctors not only quiz you but also ask you for treatment options. but, anyway... good luck :luck:

Pre-Pharmacy and Pre-Medical cover a lot of the same ground, but you'll need to look at requirements for specific schools to make sure you take all the necessary classes needed for admission. There is no universal pre-pharm or pre-med curriculum. Every school is different.

Pharmacy schools for the most part don't require a bachelors, while Medical schools do. You might also need to take higher level science courses than just two years of bio and chem, like Biochemistry (go figure 😀 ).

Good luck!
