hi all,
I am new to this forum 🙂 .
I want to apply to pharmacy school this fall for the 2007-2008 school year. I'm am currently a sophomore, so if i get in ( fingers crossed :scared: ) i won't wait to get a Bachelors Degree. i dunno if schools look down on this in any way or if graduates get extra points.
just want to know people's thots

Some school of pharmacies do give preference to students with Bachelor's Degree, but it wouldn't hurt you to try to apply and see how far you can go. You never know! :luck:

that's kinda an odd situation, to drop out of school for pharmacy. i don't know how you are going to make your intentions clear to the schools you apply to, especially if you're NOT going to a jc or community college. you should give the schools a call and ask them directly, that is probably your best bet. i doubt any of us would have a solid answer to that...

I think it depends on the school, but I know at my school most of the people who apply to pharmacy school only have the required classes, which can be completed in about 2 years. If the school wants you to have a degree then they should state it, otherwise, just take the classes they require, apply, and if you don't get in, continue with your degree and apply again.

my thots exactly 👍
i know for sure most of the schools in Texas (i.e UH, Texas Tech, TSU...and some others) dont require a degree, so im hopeful.

in response to the above comments, it's different when you go to a school just to do the pre-reqs versus going to a school that is geared toward a BA. even for schools that doesn't require a ba to apply wouldn't they find it weird that you would drop out half way when you set out to GET a BA??
