Hello everyone! I had a quick question regarding courses in pharmacy school. If a school's curriculum requires microbiology or physiology for example but you already took those courses in undergrad, will they accept those or will they make you retake them at their school? Thank you in advance!

You have to take the schools entire curriculum as part of that school. Regardless if you've taken those courses already.

Aww bummer, I figured that would be the case 👎. If only. Thank you!

I heard some schools let you test out of classes like biochem and physio.

Yea I think Minnesota does biochemistry , at least with the old curriculum. But you do have to get at least 70% on a comprehensive exam

I can confirm that some schools will let you place out or test out of these courses.

UNC school of pharmacy let you take biochem test to skip biochem 1 ..which is 1st semester of P1. but you still need to take biochem 2 even if you pass the exam..so there is a case 🙂
