Which one is more competitive to get into Pharmacy School or Optometry School? Which one is better to attend PharmD or O.D.?

These are two very, very different fields. In optometry, you diagnose, prescribe, and perform procedures. Is that something you want to do?

I would def say optometry school is more competitive to get into but the barrier to entry for both is not too bad for either field.

I would think dental school is more competitive, but that I wouldn’t know. You should do more research on each of the fields, competitiveness, and future outlook

Can I get into UDM School of O.D. with a 3.02 overall, 3.00 pre-req, and 3.07 science/math gpas? I have a DAT score of 19 AA which is the national average on my fourth attempt. UDM accepts DATs outside of OATs. Please check this link out and scroll down till u see GPA requirements.

Friend, no one can tell you whether or not you will get in. You will just need to jump the gun and go for it. It seems UDM is a new school and welcoming their inaugural class this fall. New schools typically have a harder time filling their classes but no one knows for sure. Just apply and see what happens.

Your post history if a bit confusing. You got into pharmacy school but now want to pivot into optometry? What exactly is it that you want to do?
