Hi,

I am a canadian student in the 3rd year of my honours biochem degree (GPA ~3.3). I got a composite PCAT score of 88 with a 35 in the verbal ability 😡 section (The other sections are great). Do I have a shot at US pharmacy schools or should I rewrite? Also anyone know which schools are friendly towards canadian applicants?

Greatly appreciate any feedback,

Thanks

Canadians are considered international applicants. You will not qualify for federal financial aid, and that is the bulk of financial aid. A good number of schools do not accept internationals, in general. The ones which do limit it to 1 or 2 per year, and so, you have to have good grades and PCAT scores.

I also have very low scores in verbal and reading.. English is my 2nd language. Is English your 2nd language also?
It seems like schools see sections with lower than 50% with concerns.
Some schools have minimun individual section scores, so you should check with schools directily.

I personally recommend you take another test to increase the verbal section. Meanwhile.. you should still apply with your current score.
