Also any recommendations for Florida Pharmacy Schools? I live in Orlando and was looking into

University of South Florida
University of Florida -they have satellite campus in Orlando
Palm Beach Atlantic University
NOVA Southeastern University
LECOM Pharmacy

I was leaning towards non-private due to lower tuition but if anyone is attending or applying any advice would be much appreciated thanks again

You might want to check the school-specific threads for each of these schools. They probably contain good information you could use to help make your decision. There's also a thread on the first page here where folks post their opinions & experiences with a variety of pharmacy schools - maybe check there to see if someone's reviewed any of these schools?

You've cast kind of a wide net here, which is probably why you haven't received any other answers. Conventional wisdom says, everything else equal, choose the school that will be cheaper overall. Another good reason to choose a school is if you can see yourself being happy there for the next 3-4 years.

Personally, I think it was the 4th "e" that got me to read... :meanie:

I think as long as it is accredited and has some sort of pre-established network of professionals during your experientials and rotations you will be fine. If I was in that area that is the one I would do the most research on are the state schools as well. And maybe pick a couple of the others to research and apply to so there were options while getting the chance to learn about how all the schools in the area are doing things. You know what is kinda shocking... when I looked up University of Florida I found this... an online PharmD program? Has it really gotten to this? Here is the link: http://pharmd.distancelearning.ufl.edu/pharm-d-program/

UF's online PharmD is for current Registered Pharmacists who graduated with a bachelors (US) or other (everywhere else) degree previously. Colorado also has a program. I know of some pharmacists locally that are enrolled in these programs right now.

Designed for working pharmacists, the flexible Working Professional Doctor of Pharmacy program will allow you to complete your Pharm.D. requirements in as few as three years while you work so you can maintain your work, family, and personal obligations.

That is indeed interesting. Perhaps I jumped the gun on that. I was just afraid of the Pharm.D education getting into a for-profit mentality. Thanks for the clarification on that.
