i was wondering "Why do you want to become a pharmacist?"

Would you just like us to copy and paste our personal statements for you? Cause IF you get a serious answer to this question, that's all it'll be.

because of Jay-Z....money, cash, money, cash, hoes

Other than the fact that there is already a thread on this, I don't think there is anything wrong with asking this question, it's perfectly legit.

You guys could be a little nicer, geez!!🙂

Im with the not supporting laziness. Every thread started by the OP ,within the last few days, could easily be answered by using the search function.

exactly what I was thinking... haha I actually thought about asking this before but realized that everybody has different reasons and it would be a very generic PS if I used any answers I would receive, thus showing through to the ADCOMs... it's called PERSONAL statement for a reason 😉

Also, I have been told by multiple adcoms that they read SDN all the time. Preparing to interview or trying to impressive adcoms via SDN is almost certainly the kiss of death.

But it's also a very, very useful resource. I think preparing for an interview via SDN is so helpful! All the questions posted, you see so many opinions, it helps to formulate your own opinions!
But I'd never copy someone's PS - lol thats just dumb.

My case is the exact opposite. At all interviews I've had, my interviewers had never heard of SDN. However, alenadoma is right - SDN is incredibly useful. I would have totally blanked out on the one difficult question I had on my past interview if I hadn't found it on SDN interview feedback and prepared my answer ahead of time. It's not that you should not read SDN, but that you should not blindly parrot what you see on here. As a future professional, you should be able to think for yourself.

why'd you say that?

how'd you know if i am lazy?

I suppose my comment is rooted deeply in the tens upon tens of hours I spent writing and editing my personal statement and supplemental responses.

You're in luck though because I heard that Pharmcas has a new alternative called the "SDN statement".

Oh don't take any of it personally, it's all in good fun. Just for future reference, try using the search function, it's really useful, and you may find other forums that will be of use to you.
And your question is a good one, even if it has been answered 🙂
Try looking at the topic titled "why pharmacy" it'll give you many answers.

yes i tried seearching but do you guys know how many post there are in this forums?

you want me to go read every single one of it huh? im in school.. i have alot of things to do, i cant sit all day trying to read every post and find the answear to one question.

just want some opinion and idea so i can see if it's right for me.

thanks so much though, you guys are helpful.

i hope in life you can use the "search" button too.

Tommyle,
If this really is out of ignorance, the people in this forum refuse to answer that question because it is the question surrounding every applicant's personal statement and you appear lazy by asking it in a pre-pharmacy forum where we have all answered it ourselves at some point in time.

I think the biggest giveaway that this isn't actually your own question, thought up by your very own brain, is the fact that you quoted the question.

Not only should you use advanced search, but search "why pharmacy" and limit the search to just the pre-pharmacy forum.

You're not really helping your case be indicating your lack of willingness to search multiple threads. If you really wanted to find an opinion that was a more eloquent way of putting your own you'd want to increase your throughput by scanning multiple threads. If you don't have time to put into educating yourself, why should anyone waste their time to help you? Time is a resource equally important to all of us. (Okay, it's more important to me, but still.:meanie:)

Oh, link to advanced search is in my sig, that should save time.

i tried to search but couldnt find anything at first that's why i posted this thread.. so is it wrong to post a question that to you it's not been posted before.

idnknow i am not here for you guys to judge me. thank you very much

It doesn't have to be what you're here for, it happens despite what you're here for. Nonetheless, there's a post a little further down on the front page titled "why pharmacy" That could be a start. The reason I suggested limiting the search to just the prepharmacy forum was to limit the number of returns the search gets. You can also limit it to thread title which further distills the number of threads returned.

You have the patience of an angel!!

36 hours without sleep will do that.

Can I just say I hate biostats, journal club, PK, and just about everything school related right now. I'll get over it after a good 10 hours sleep.

In the mean time hopefully some questions have been answered and we won't have to worry about how long one's patience holds out while sleep deprived.:luck:

From your unwitty comments I can tell you have the personality of a doorknob and are probably dumber than a box of hair.

Your a troll and wasting everyone's time.

LOL! I was actually thinking he is a cotton headed ninny muggin.

LOL!!!! I have no idea what that is, but it's hilarious.

Since the Christmas season is fast approaching. You must rent/purchase Elf starring Will Ferrell as Buddy the Elf. Buddy calls himself a cotton headed ninny muggin at one point when he can't keep up with all the other elves. As corny as the movie is, it actually has a feel good kind of ending to it. If you love Will Ferrell, you'll love this movie.
