Hi everyone. I want to go ahead and become a Pharmacy Tech prior before going to Pharmacy school I live in Los Angeles and was wondering which schools I should go to. Any recommendations? Also after complteting the class and recieving the certificate how likely is it to get a job since I would have no prior experience as a tech, but I have worked as a clerk before.

And do pharmacy tech programs offer financial aid?

I have a friend currently going to Bryman college for her pharmacy tech license. Bryman college has multiple locations in the LA/OC area.

i'm a bit confused. in order to be a pharm tech, is it mandatory that you take classes? or can u just study on your own, take the exam and voila...pharm tech license?

You can study on your own. Go buy a book (Barnes and Noble even has some). Go to www.ptcb.org and see when the next exam is in your city and due to date to sign up, pay your fee and your on your way.

It is 120 dollars for the test to be nationally licensed.

I studied on my own for the ptcb exam, any other information you need just let me know.
