If you are both certified and licensed as a pharmacy technician, do you get paid more than those who are just licensed within the state?

Yes. Where I work (Walgreens) it's a dollar more for being certified.

Pharm techs in VA also have a much more expanded role than big chain techs.

All the "lifer" techs I have worked with have only HS degree. Haven't worked with any with a BS. And I have worked with alot.

I have a degree, but I've only worked with one other person who has one. It seems like the ones with degrees are only working as techs to apply to pharmacy school or until they can get a job where they use their degree.
