Pharmacy Tech

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Should be easy to land, its notoriously tough to keep technicians long term especially good ones. Any retail location probably has a need or will have one soon. Reasons being? Low pay, high stress, no real opportunity for advancement

Any advice on landing a job as a pharmacy tech? Thank you
Registration at the state level, at minimum, and certification at the national level being the preferred.

If you're applying to a hospital, experience with IV admixture is a must.

Otherwise just have a good resume.

Yeah as a manager I need one or two about every few months....lol

What do you consider low pay?

I've worked at Walgreens for a year and couple months. I only work Sundays. I started off at about $10.50/hr and couple weeks ago I started finally noticing how much money I was being paid because I started noticing more and more money in my account and I found out I had gotten a bunch of raises that amounted to $18.50/hr lol.

Try Walgreens @DrillSynchron

You've gotten a 75% salary raise after a year? That doesn't sound suspicious. Is your location also California?

haha im not kidding. I am in Aurora, CO

Edit:

I got a couple of those pay raise mails. They usually said merit or market adjustment.
