Can anyone suggest any great books out there for preparation for the PTCB exam? I've had my chemistry and I think I'll be ready for the exam without taking a multi-hundred dollar course. Thanks in advance!

Any Pharmacy experience? I worked in Walmart for like 8 months as a Tech In Training before I took the test. Test wasn't that difficult. If you got the Math down pat, your good to go. As far a book, I know there are some good ones out there.

I am also planning to take the test in July. I bought this book from the Barnes & Noble for about $50.00. The name is PHARMACY TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION EXAM REVIEW by Patricia K. Anthony. Hope this helps.

i studied the book written by Noah Reifman for like a week and easily passed the exam. No experience and got 750. Math is the major portion of the test. you can buy the book on amazon.com for $35. Good luck to u 😀

how is the test like........if i just read and do the problems in the review book without any experience, is that good enough? can i still pass the test without all these experiences? thanks

well it's best if you work for a company that has a pharmacy tech program such as CVS, Wal-Mart, Target, Rite Aid etc... The test was real easy. There is no definite need to go waste a book for $50 dollars. Depending on your state the questions might defer. I know national exams are equivalent the same everywhere.
