If the major chains would get their way for larger insurance claim reimbursements----would they pocket the increased bottom line dollar or increase staffing levels to help us stay alive at store level??

It's going to go to the shareholders. It likely won't be funneled into the pharmacy unless working environments became even more unsafe or they thought it would somehow increase service to the point of making profit. Post 2008 financial crisis I feel that companies focus on squeezing as much out of employees and demanding more with less. That's become the norm for most sectors I believe due to many people feeling grateful to just have a job and will put up with it.

Money going to the pharmacy, ha good one. Unless it is an independent, I don't see it happening. Only in a few independents have I see the owner actually care about the pharmacy and thought of ways for improvements. Heck when I worked at this independent, the owner/pharmacist would occasionally treat us to lunch and ask us what could be improved in the pharmacy and he would see if he could make it happen.
