go to the front checklist page

click on "colleges attended"

then to the left of the list of schools, you should see a small icon of an arrow.... column heading is "transcript request"... click on that and another window should pop open allowing you to print it out
 
Hi.
I'm taking microbio, physio, anatomy, etc. at a community college. When I update my courses in pharmcas, do I classify them under "Lower Division (Fr/So)" OR "Upper division (Jr/Sr)" in the course level section?

"Select the academic level of the particular college course, regardless of your student (academic) registration status at the time.

-Assign Lower-division (Fr/So) status to Advanced Placement, Exempt, IB, or CLEP credit awarded when you first entered college.
-Assign Lower-division (Fr/So) status to courses completed at a junior or community college (e.g., associate degree course work).
-Assign Lower-division (Fr/So) or Upper-division (Jr/Sr) to any undergraduate level course work, including undergraduate courses taken after the receipt of your initial BA/BS degree or while you were enrolled in a graduate program, if course work was not applied to a graduate degree. "

So I think you put Fr/So.

Thanks for your response. I fit into #3, I already have my BS degree. And it indicates that you put lower division OR upper division. So which do I put? Lower or upper division. This will apply to courses theoretically considered upper division courses at a 4 year institution, such as Cell & mol. bio, biochem, anatomy, physio, microbio. However, since I'm taking them at a community college, I'm not sure what to classify it under?

Any ideas?

I dont know about your school, but at my 4 year university cell bio, microbio, and anatomy/phys are all lower level 200 level courses.

Biochem is a 400 level course however.
 
It sounds like your case fits #2 more because of the location of your classes. #3 is saying that even if you have your BS or you are taking grad classes, you dont put grad course if they are upper or lower div undergrad courses (unless it applies to your grad program). What determines upper or lower div is usually the course # (ie all 300 and higher are upper div for my school). But because #2 specifically says all classes taken at a jc are considered fr/so, I'd go with that.

However, if you're still not sure I would suggest emailing pharmcas or calling them. they're really nice and quick about answering questions. hope that helps.
 
My transcript was mailed out on the 9th and pharmCAS still hasn't recieved it, do you think I should call them tommorow morning or is it still to early to ask them whats going on?
 
I sent my trancripts out on the 16th of december and they received them on the 31st and sent them out few days later. I would call them and see what the deal is, misplacing and losing things is something they are capable of doing.

i sent my transcripts out on the 9th as well and pharmcas still hasn't received it, so you're not the only one. although i am mailing it from cali so that may be a reason why its being slow
 
I requested my transcripts to send to PharmCas 3 times for each school that I attended but PharmCas still has not received my transcripts. I requested them 3 weeks ago. What should I do? Does anyone have same problem with me?
 
I have the same problem too😡 I'm so mad because I know it's holding up my application at one of the schools I applied to. I'm calling tomorrow, maybe they have them but they just haven't updated their website. Let me know if you hear anything. :luck:
 
I believe they just spent a lot of time updating and even picking up their mails from whatever P.OBox it is mailed to. And u also have to consider the fact that a lot of apllicants send their infomation to only one place, before it is sorted out it takes a whole lot of time.

my boyfriend sent his transcript Dec 20th and it was just updated this week. So try to hang in there. and i believe calling them made the difference. Also they didnt send out his apllication to VCU cos they were waiting for the said transcript and when he called he said they should go ahead and mail it cos he had paid for the application like 3wks before. The next day after the call, they updated his info that they had received the transcript.
 
Will unrelated science classes like Computer Science I and Computer Sciene II be included in my science GPA? Hopefully not, because they were the reason to stray from that field. Thnx. G'night.
 
I suspect that if they are classified by you as a science class, probably general science or something like that, then they'll show up in the science gpa. Computer Science is a study of engineering, so it makes sense that it would be in science.
 
PharmCAS recieved my transcript on the 15th but stil has not updated my GPA with my new grades, I wonder what is taking so long, do you guys think I should call them tommorow or just wait it out?? 😕
 
They received mine on the 16th and sent out my revised app today. I think you may want to call them.

i think they finalize your GPA after the academic window period. Let me know if you hear otherwise
 
They received mine on Jan 5th and still no update!
 
I thought you would be in good shape after pharmCAS receive your updated transcript no matter how long they would take to update new grades in their system. I am not sure how it will affect my application. This is what i got from PharmCAS:

"You have already satisfied the requirements of the February 1 deadline. Your Academic Update information was submitted on 01/12/2007. AU information is verified in chronological order, according to the date that the updates were submitted. Your application is currently in queue. The verification process for AU is very similar to that for when you first submitted your application. Once you have submitted your updates, it can take up to 4 weeks from that date for your updates to be verified. It will not always take that long, but PharmCAS cannot guarantee anything less."

Let me know what yall think about it.
 
They received my transcript on the 12th and it seems like my GPA was updated very quickly (within a day or 2) and my revised application was mailed on the 19th. You might give them until tomorrow, but it probably wouldn't hurt to call. I guess they technically say it could take 2 weeks but it seems odd they haven't re-calculated your GPA yet.
 
I guess I'm must worried if there is an error of some sort with my transcript and maybe if I call them too late and they tell me too late I would not be able to send a new transcript in time.

I guess I'm just being paranoid, I definately will call them tommorow if it isn't updated by then.
 
It took them a week to show that they had received my transcript and then another week to update my GPA. Once that happened, it only took two business days to mail out my updated app. I wouldn't worry about it--wait another day or two before calling.
 
They had my updated transcript on 12/28 and I still didnt have an updated GPA showing..so I emailed them today. I had all my classes and grades updated, but didnt realize you had to click on e-submit again...so I did that today and hopefully it wont take much longer....
 
what do you mean? You had to submit the app more than once? I submitted mine before they received any of my transcripts and the submit button isnt even there anymore. it says theyve received the application and the printout was mailed on jan 19
 
When doing AU through PharmCAS, you have to go into AU, enter in all your stuff in the academic coursework area, then when you are all finished you have to select the "e-submit" button. It can be easy to miss if you don't read all the info that PharmCAS provides before you go into AU. Once you e-submit you cannot go back and change anything.
 
crap.. i think mine got lost in the mail. i had my school send out my transcript on jan 9.. and pharmcas still hasnt received it.🙁
 
So I called this morning and they told me it might take a while because they do them in order of the time they recieve your transcript.

Not sure if its a coincidence though but today my pharmCAS GPA was updated.. how bout that 😉

The same thing happened when I asked how come my transcript wasn't recieved back in August and it was listed as recieved that same day. Not that I'm advocating everyone calling pharmCAS all at once but who knows.. maybe you should try your luck :luck:
 
hello all i was wondering how long it takes for pharmcas to update my classes and stats once they receive the transcript from my school? i plan on taking summer classes and summerII's grades are in by july 31st but i wanted to have my app. in to pharm school by august 1st.....the latest being around august 10th. is there a way i could just send it what i had already and then send in summerII's grades? would pharm school see these?

August 10th would be still REALLY early, so I would say that you could wait for your summer grades to come in to submit. The only time for updating transcripts and grades is during the winter for your fall grades. Hope that helps! 🙂
 
😕 I just checked my pharmcas designations status, and it says new revisions mailed feb. 5th!!? what does that mean??
The one before says, Revisions mailed jan 16th, and I understand probably those from the pharmcas update for the fall grades!
But I don't know why are there new revisions that will be mailed feb 5th?!
Can anyone explaine to me! it's just confusing me!!😕
 
Did you send in a new transcript recently?? I sent in my newest grades and my PharmCAS says the same thing. My guess is they are sending your updated grades and spring classes.
 
well I graduated in December, and I'm not currently enrolled in any classes! The only update was my fall grades which they already sent jan 16th! So I'm not sure what is this new revision that will be sent on feb. 5th!! That's why im confused! Should I call them then??!😕
 
I logged onto pharmcas to check out my designations and I noticed that one of the schools I applied to said denied as the status. I haven't received a letter or anything from them confirming this... it actually shocked me because this was my top pick for school. I was just wondering if anyone else has been denied through pharmcas and not gotten anything from the school.

I logged onto my PharmCAS and checked under "Status" > "Designations". The only category I could see for any of my schools was "Payment Status" on the right side, so maybe your payment was denied? Other than that, I only see when everything was mailed out to each school.
 
Interesting PharmCAS status, pharmd6. All I see is what senzabee sees.
 
I'm DENIED at UCSF.. thats the only school that has updated their status for me, UCSD hasn't and I've been officially rejected. But unlike you I recieved a letter, not sure though if pharmCAS updated it first before I recieved the official letter, I don't check my pharmCAS that often.

yea, all I see is just the payment status plus the date when the applications & revisions were sent on. hmmmm .____.a
 
There are two places were I can see you might have selected. One is in the center menu where you can look at your application entries. "Pharmacy designations" shows which schools you've selected and if/how much you paid. (Initial 135 vs $40 for add'l) It also lists the school's deadline, etc. Then there's the status bar on top with a drop down "designations". Here it shows when you submitted your application to the school and the status in terms of when initial printout mailed, revisions mailed etc. Which one shows denied? If it is the one showing payments received, then maybe it's denied payment. If it's the status one perhaps they denied your application. Though it seems it would have to be due to PharmCAS related reasons if it were there. Too late, didn't meet specifications (i.e. school requires LOR from a Pharmacist and yours were all professors or something). I didn't see anything in the FAQs about it.

It's under designation which also states payment status. It shows where they are aupposed to put the date ur applications adn other stuff were mailed. I believe only some school do it since they view ur application online. Shenandoah updated it on pharcas and sent me an official letter, while Albany just sent the letter and didnt update it so all my revision mails were also sent to them.
 
That happened to me last week with Mercer, and I was like "what the heck" b/c I hadn't even received a letter yet, so I called the school and the person that I spoke with said that letters had gone out earlier in the week and I should be receiving one. She could not disclose what the letter said (like I didn't know already!!!) Needless to say I got the rejection letter on Saturday 🙁 I think that schools should at least wait until you have received the letter to post denial status on PharmCAS.
 
I was notified of my denial from PBA last year on PharmCAS before I got a letter. I agree, it sucks.
 
Yea, it's under the designations that also shows when your printouts were mailed. Under some schools it still has the dates when mine were mailed out..but next to PBA it has changed to "Denied by school."

I still have gotten a letter from them.
 
oops.. haven't gotten a letter from PBA.
 
Are acceptances also listed like this, or just denials? I don't see anything on my pharmcas😕

Personally, I would rather have the decision/bad news sooner than later. Gives more time to execute contingency plans, ex. schedule for the Fall semester at your undergrad. school or apply for FAFSA.
 
In an old thread, some people posted that they found out they were denied through their pharmCAS before they ever got rejection letters from individual schools....has anybody found out of any acceptances through pharmCAS?
 
Has anyone else heard anything via PharmCAS lately?
