PhD Comics?
Started by seraph524
So...does anybody read the PhD comics? Why does Mike turn down a job offer that pays 10 times what he used to make as a grad student to be a post-doc for his old boss?
I love PhD comics, although there are so many that I haven't read yet (catching up though)! But if you're referring to today's strip, it seem that Slackenberry is going to accept the position.
Ignore my post above, seraph. Your syntax threw me.
I got the "Grad School: Better than getting a real job!" T-Shirts for the two other girls in my office who are also leaving for school.
I <3 PhD!
I want that one. Also, I'd love to see a shirt saying: "The NIH supported me to be MeSTuP!"

hahahahahahaha!!
There are screen printing websites - we can make this happen
Pickles, let go into business together. You can handle the "deity baby" wing of the corporation.
MeSTuP, indeed.![]()
Wait! If we're going into business together, I think I'll need to apply to some MD/PhD/MBA programs. And you should consider adding on a JD...just to be safe 😀
I'm starting to wonder if my powers are better suited for a field outside of science 😉
Hmmmmm
I wonder if it would be better with subscript/superscript...

The equation for seminar appeal is one of the best mathematical models I have seen in my entire life.

Ooh, niiiice.
I've added some exposition:
There once was a naughty soybean who liked to stomp all day long. Of course, this stomping was noisy, so his downstairs neighbors were not very happy. Finally, they decided to do something about it. Rather than speaking to the landlord or the proper authorities, they snuck into his apartment late at night to do away with him. First they squeezed, and squeezed, and squeezed the poor little soybean until he was hardly recognizable (though tasty on rice) and bottled his remains. Next, in a moment of fury, they overturned the bottle in put it in the refrigerator, maniacally laughing as they watched the bloody mess seep out of the fridge and onto the floor.
