PhD pathologists? Do you mean MD/PHDs?

I would think a PhD (Pathology) on average would make <100K.

The salary of a MD/PhD (Pathology) in academics on average would make 100-300K. Really depends which field of path you are in and your reputation. If you are just starting in academics, I would guess approx. lower 100K.

If my numbers are off, someone please correct me.

Actually Im fairly certain PhDs in subspec clin lab areas make >100K not less.

I've heard starting $120 from UTSW MD/PhD in pathology, this is typical 80% lab/20% clinic
