As we are all eagerly anticipating our invitations to interviews. I have started to think what should I expect at the interview? What kind of questions will I be asked? How much will they differ depending on whether or not its a PhD or a PsyD? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

In my experience, I was asked everything I didn't expect, and almost nothing I expected. I tormented myself for a week about how I was going to answer the "Tell me about yourself" question and was never asked.

Be loose, laid-back (but not surfer pothead laid-back), confident, and ready to talk about:
1. Why our program?
2. What prof's research are you interested in?
3. What are your thought's on our approach to therapy (PsyD type question)
4. What was your experience like at: your previous school, internship, job, camping trip, etc.

If it's a school at the bottom of your list, don't let your body language or non-verbal behavior signal that; your interviewer will pick up on that. There's tons more good advice if you google topics such as: Psy.D./Ph.D. interview questions, etc. Good luck :luck:
