Hey everyone,
I have a question regarding how much research experience is needed for admission into a PhD program in Healthcare Administration/Management/Policy. I currently have a MS in Healthcare Administration and Management but not from a CEPH school. I currently work in a community hospital in Guest Services.
I know that being published goes a long way in the PhD process but I just didn't have that opportunity because of the school I attended. However, I have created, led, and sustained my own data collection project for the hospital. The project entails keeping track of where visitors/patients go, how often, our busiest hours, etc. I also then perform calculations and report my findings to various department managers. Does this count at all towards research experience? Using solely this, will it be enough to cover my research portion of the application?
Thanks!
