what is the difference between primer and releaser pheromone? cant find it on the internet for some reason.

Well, there are 2 kinds of pheromones

1- Primer pheromones : have a "longer lasting" and more influential change in the behavior of the member of the same species who receives it. It's more physiological (everything related to reproduction, cycles, hormones, etc.) Think of it as the name itself implies "Primer" --playing a certain essential role.

2- Releaser pheromones : happens quicker and is reversible...meaning that the animal who secretes the pheromone not only affects the behavior of the recipient, but itself. For example, sex attractant pheromones, the release of defensive substances, which are in general toxic, and those substances secreted as alarm.

I hope this help, at least is the way I understand it...Good Luck! 👍
