Hello everyone!

I wanted to know if anyone is currently going through the same situation that I am in?

I applied to Temple, TJU, PhillyU, and USciences. I finished my OTCAS application in the beginning of December, but I had to wait a few weeks for my last pre-requisite class to become verified.

I received an e-mail from PhillyU on January 20th saying that I was not offered admission. At this point I am now very worried about getting into the other 3 schools. Is there anyone else in the same situation as I am?

My fiance mentioned that perhaps PhillyU filled up their seats too quickly while the other schools may take more time to carefully pick their students. However, I am very nervous that the other schools I applied to have already filled up. But if that were the case, I feel that I should have received a decline by now?

Any thoughts? Thank you for reading!

USciences is expensive and has a large cohort, so you'll probably have a shot there. I know some people who applied a bit late to Jeff last year and got in, but I think it was off the waitlist.

I applied to all Philly schools (your list plus Salus), as that is where I currently live. First verified in early October.

I had an interview at Jefferson right before Christmas and was accepted in mid-January. That one was a no-brainer for me to accept... I still check my emails about it once a week to make sure it's really happening.

About a week later I got accepted at Philadelphia, and haven't heard squat from Temple, Salus and USciences. Since they're rolling admissions, they probably don't send out any rejections until almost all schools have filled their classes, save for a small waitlist to replace the few who drop very late.

Moral? They probably all have their own opaque processes, and the last answer you want to hear is probably the healthiest strategy: just gotta hope and wait.

Hi 🙂 I was accepted to PhilaU a while back. Their cohort is small, so I would try not to worry about the other schools based on that. They also have a 5 year BS/MS program and as long as those students that are already in the program maintain a certain GPA, I think they take seats first in the MSOT program- which makes the number of entry level MSOT applicants accepted even smaller.

I was invited for a phone interview with Temple about 2 weeks ago (and declined) so I am pretty sure that they still have seats available. I was also placed on the waitlist for an interview at TJU about a month ago, so they may still be interviewing as well.

I hope you hear back from the other schools soon! I will have my fingers crossed for you. The application process is so stressful.
