Photo for Application

Most drugstores that do photo processing will take your picture. Just tell them you need a passport photograph taken. I had to get a new passport this year and the photos cost me around $10 for a sheet of 8 at an Osco's.

I appreciate it.

School's websites say 2"x2" passport pic. SO last year i paid about $14 for every 2 pics at Ritz and they were not even good. This year i called the schools and they said wallet size is still OK. BU said people send in regular 4"x6" pics and they still accept it!! so, yesterday i walked into a Sears Portrait Studio and took wallet size pics for $6.99 for a sheet of 8 pics (they came out very nice and professinal too).

go to Kinko's, passport pics there are like $4 bucks or just cut your face out of 4x6 that would be ghetto fab

Where did y'all get your mugshots for the application? I guess I need a 2"x3". What place is cheap but with good pics?

I used a standard wallet photo size. They just want a face with your stats.

Boy do I feel stupid I paid some guy $100 to take some professional photos. Well actually I got a face only a mother could love so it needed some touch up work.

ha, i know people that just take a digital photo and print it out at home. I don't think it gets any worse than that unless you draw it in crayon.

Not true. I actually saw an interviewee's photo: it was his "professionally taken" football picture. he was knee down in his pads with a cheesy grin holding the ball. The prof that interviewed him basically tore up his app. He was horrified at that judgement call!

the professor must have been thrown into the lockers by a jock during high school or something. Tearing up an app is equally poor judgment. As far as photos go you could try Walgreens if you haven't already had them taken. They print out a whole sheet that will supply you for all of your application needs. plus they're open 24 hours- its like seven-eleven except for drugs and pictures.

I just took my own with a digital camera, imported into photoshop did some touchup work, put on a professional looking border, resized and printed out on photo paper.

do they accept 5 years old photo?

Excuse me this is something new. What application is this pic for. The aadsas app wants a pic?

Tooth Fixer-

I believe everyone's talking about the supplemental application for the individual schools. Usually the schools ask for a 2"x2" photo of yourself. I'm glad someone posted this question, because I was kinda wondering how strict dental schools were with the 2"x2" dimensions. I didn't want to do anything to hinder my application 😀

that way u can do it last minute, if u forget to bring your photo in....

😀 😀

just playin

What I did wa take pictures with a timer on my digital camera. I then spent 50 cents in a local drug store to develop it. They're not too strict about it...as far as the size...just not a full size picture. The schools want it for identifying and recalling purposes, that's all. It's not AADSAS that wants it...it's the schools. Some schools want to you bring it when you go in for interview (ex. Case Western) or they want you to send it along with the deposit money (ex. U Mich). You can find a list of supplements to send on the AADSAS application site. You can also call the offices to make sure you got everything.

I had about 5 or 6 schools that wanted the 2x2 picture. I put on a shirt and tie and had someone snap a photo in my backyard with my didgital camera. Looked pretty good, cost me 24 cents to get a printout at the store. Not bad.

Same here. Nobody really cares as long as it is clear. Besides, the touchup work allows whiter teeth and less acne.
