With photosynthesis and respiration, which one is oxidizing overall and which one is reducing. I remember seeing these questions
 
Photosynthesis makes glucose by fixing (aka reducing/adding Hydrogens) to CO2, so I guess you would call it a reducing process.

Respiration is an oxidative process because you add oxygens to glucose. Remember in photosynthesis how we reduced CO2 to glucose? Now we're oxidizing it back to CO2.
