Some dental schools are requiring photos. I just had some 2 x 2s taken with a shirt and tie, but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have worn a suit. Does anyone have any idea what these photos are for and how formal they need to be? Thanks.

Suit and tie is safe in most situations and definelty appropriate here. You may want to leave the bowtie or bolo out of the shot though. 😉

I just took a basic photo in a polo shirt, no special clothes. Will that be a problem?

I really do not think the photo is a big deal. I think the purpose is to confirm the identities of applicants in interviews.

They'll deny you if you aren't wearing a suit and tie, but also if you have a pimple somewhere.

i kno how dorky the question is..but the people that take photos rarely allow u to take more than one without giving u the sigh or look of annoyance.
