The kaplan's physics session isn't similar to the real test. What additional material should I use to study, including review notes?

Even though they aren't similar, I only used Kaplan and did fine. Kaplan drills the concepts into your head so that you completely understand the problem. Once you get to the more conceptual physics section on the real test, you will feel prepared and ready to go. If you have Kaplan, it will prepare you. If you still want something else, there's always the Destroyer and Achiever, both of which are discussed in detail elsewhere on this forum.

You've got it backwards actually. Kaplan teaches you EVERYTHING you need to know in physics, AND THEN MORE...which is unnecessary and distracting when you are trying to be efficient. They also emphasize more calculations, when the real test is more concepts. If you have kaplan, then all the tools are at your fingertips. You just might get lost in the sea of information when what you really need to know is only a fraction of it.

and just for a comparison...i did kaplan for physics. got a 360. if you want to score better, then i guess additional materials are in order (or just study more than i did for that section =P )

i only used the kaplan book to study for the test and ended up scoring 400 on the actual test. kiwi5frog is right.....the test is less calculation but more concepts. i also went through my old text book and the physics section in the kaplan book and memorized all of the equations a few weeks before the exam.

Congrats to the last two for scoring such high marks with Kaplan alone. If you don't like physics or didn't learn anything from your college physics (like me), I supplemented OAT destroyer for physics. It starts from the beginning of Physics 1 with a few questions of each concept so you can learn the equation/concept, then test yourself with two more questions. It REALLY helped my confidence and made a 340.. (low compared to the last two though!)
