For physic on the opted test, #35.


35. A 12-volt battery with an internal resistance of 1-ohm resistor. Which of the following is the current in amperes that flows in the circuit.

a. 4
b.3
c.9
d.12
e.48

I got the answer to be 12 because V=iR....12=i(1) gives i=12 but the answer key is B.

Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance!

A couple of the answers are wrong, search and I think there is a thread that lists mistakes found with the opted test.

so yeah, your def. right about that, it's 12 Amps, i was taking the opted test yesterday and going ballistic trying to figure out why on earth it would be 3 Amps.
