Hello,

Just wondering if I can get into a PA program with a 3.6 gpa? I also have 2 years of hospital volunteering and research with 2 professors.

3.6 is fine.
many programs require paid direct/hands on medical experience like emt, rn, resp. therapist, etc so volunteering or research probably wouldn't work for most programs

You will definitely get interviews
if you apply broadly and to programs that emphasize gpa over experience.
mind you these are not necessarily programs I would recommend.
there are 160 programs out there that run the full spectrum of requirements from no experience to 4000+ hrs at the level of paramedic or rn. those requiring more experience are generally the older higher quality programs like duke, U.WA, etc

Really?? You are freaking out because you have a 3.6 GPA and wondering if you can get in??? This isn't D.O or MD school, but a 3.6 is really good in my mind

It's gotten very competitive, and grades matter...but 3.6 is good. Science GPA is important too--don't want below 3.0 in that one.
