Hello, everyone! Sorry, i don't know where to post this but I was in need of information about becoming a Physician Assistant Specialist.

1. How long does it take to become one? Does it include the 2 years of Grad school?

2. What is required ?

I plan on becoming a Physician Assistant after I finish my undergrad studies but before i apply to PA school i just wanted to know the above 2 questions.

Thanks!

I'll answer #2: it takes enough smarts and common sense not to come on a discussion board designed for Emergency Medicine PHYSICIANS to discuss emergency medicine and ask a question better suited for a high school guidance counselor.

Try Google for your answers, cause your making Physician Assistants look bad.....

It's a one year "fellowship" or "residency" after PA school. I think it's a big help personally and certainly makes one a bit more of an attractive candidate for the job. That said, I'd take a PA with 10 years of ED experience over one fresh out of the fellowship.
