Physician Distribution question

Is there a website where you can find the number of physicians broken down by specialties and also which has data on how many physicians by specialty per 1000 or per hundred people. I am trying to look for places where there are physician oversupply versus undersupply so that I can decide on where to go after I complete my residency.
Does any such database or book exist. Any help is appreciated.
