Hi, This is a spin off of the Physician Unfriendly States thread: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=895358 That thread got me thinking, for those of us looking for jobs it would be nice to work for a place where we are treated with respect. In my experience, from medical school through residency, and after speaking with colleagues, there are environments which are not fun! I'm sure some of you have experienced or heard of cut throat/back stabbing places where such behavior is not only overlooked but actually promoted by the brass. Other scenarios are where parking is 1st come 1st serve and a busy MD may have to park across the street in snow.
Just wondering, are there places that are friendly toward physicians? Sometimes its the little things that can add up to a positive environment to work.

Any "Doctor's hospital" may generally be a more amenable working hospital. I've rotated through some private hospitals and those tend to be catered to the liking of the physicians- as a happy physician there = generally more productive = more patients/referrals/transfers = more money for the hospital.
