I'm going to do a medical internship in Shanghai, China this summer. Basically, for a month, I get to shadow whomever I wish. I have never shadowed a physician, although I do have a lot of clinical experience. For those that have shadowed physicians abroad where you get free reign over what you wish to learn, what did you ask to do? How was it?

Hey! I'm also doing a medical internship in Shanghai this summer. Which hospital(s) are you going to be at? You can pm me if you want.

i shadowed a physician in india for 2 weeks. the experience blew my mind. i wont forget this practically homeless milkman (he lived in a little hut) who broke his ankle and couldn't earn anymore. my physician did surgery for almost free, it was great. theres also less health policy/insurance bull**** there so you can do stuff like that

speaking of, anybody know of any shadowing/internship opportunities in Paris?

snapz, that sounds rad. I'm going to be studying abroad in Spain for the 06-07 academic year, and I put on my housing application that a family with someone in the medical field would be cool. hopefully I'll be able to shadow somebody, if only for a little while.
