Is the general surgery residency program at Physicians Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama in existence? I was unable to apply via ERAS. They have a website but I tried emailing them and the email didn't go through. Any input?
 
The hospital closed in 2008 that resident program was run out of. It merged with the Baptist Health System (BHS) surgery residency program in Birmingham. BHS was recently awarded an additional spot by ACGME so they now will have 3 categorical positions per year in general surgery starting this year.
