Before I sign up for Physics in the fall.. I want to double check something. The Physics offered at my CC is listed as General Physics 201. It's a four credit class.

Will this transfer? I know there are two variations of physics - one that uses algebra and one that uses calculus. I don't want to take two semesters of physics only to be told I have to take it again.

What level physics did you take?

You need to check the requirements of the pharmacy schools that you will be applying to. I took general physics with lab for 2 semesters. This fulfilled the requirements that I needed. There may be some schools that require calculus based physics.

Most schools require algebra based physics

Check this website out it should help you determine what physics class at your CC is accpeted by the pharmacy school you are trying to get into. But i would call the school just in case.

I've found several schools (UNC, UCSF) that wanted calc based physics. Call/e-mail the schoold Directly because their pharmcas doesn't always say which they wanted. I couldn't apply to UNC because I took the wrong physics 🙁 . UCSF didn't tell us they wanted calc based until I got to the interview! They worked it out for people this year, but I would call them and find what they want.

Some schools don't even require physics. 👍
