I'm currently taking ochem, bio, and physics right now at a post bacc program. I'm finding it difficult to do well in all 3 classes considering how difficult it is for me to learn a science concept. Having said that, I'm thinking of dropping my physics class to focus my attention on bio and ochem. The physics professor sucks and the student's are pretty much teaching themselves physics anyways. I'm planning to study physics on my own time and take the MCAT in June or July and take the actual physics class during that summer or during the glide year. What do you guys think? Do I need to complete physics before submitting my med school apps even if I do well on the MCAT? The drop date without a W is approaching fast. Input please!

Well definitely finish your pre-reqs before taking the MCATs. By the way, many school require physics as a requirement, so check with them as well.

All schools require physics, but I think the OP realizes that. While dropping physics now and taking it over the summer if the teacher is bad probably isnt a bad idea, theres a few things you should think about: 1, make sure your post-bacc program is okay with you being less than full time/ and taking classes in the summer. Also, I doubt you'll be able to teach yourself physics by yourself all that well, and doing so would definitely eat up a lot of your time. Because of this, it seems rather unlikely you'll be able to master everything you know for the MCAT before the summer...
