Hi everyone!

After my freshman year, I took physics 1 and 2 with labs over the summer online at a community college. At the time it didn't even cross my mind that med schools may not accept that as fulfilling their pre-reqs. From my understanding, it seems like that class pretty much won't be accepted by any med schools, so I think I am going to take physics again this year (not online).

Will it be any sort of red flag to be listing the exact same physics class on my application as "future classes", even though it's already on my transcript? Is there anywhere that I can explain why I'm doing this?

Thank you!

1) No.

2) Some Secondaries will give you that opportunity, but not all. If asked at an interview, your explanation is acceptable. Everyone isn't a premed with access to a good advisor the moment they enter college.

Do schools actually require pre-reqs to be taken at 4-year colleges now? I had quite a few classmates who completed their pre-reqs at community colleges. I know there was a preference for the 4-year college courses, but I thought only a few select ivy programs excluded students who took pre-reqs at community colleges
