Hi, My college offers physics with algebra or with calculus. Is it necessary to take it with calculus even though the OAT's physics section doesn't use calculus? Which one is the right one to take? Thanks!

Physics with algebra is sufficient.

There are three things to consider when looking at class.
1. Will it help me with the OAT
2. Will it help me get into OD school
3. Will it help me when I get into OD school

The answer to all these things for taking physics with calculus is NO! In fact, physics is tough enough w/o calculus. If you end up with a C when you could have gotten an A, that would be bad...obvious.

So, take the algebra based physics class.

😀 👍

Unless you really, really hate yourself, take the physics for bio majors. 😉
