no? or at least i dont think so since there is no physics on the DAT. i know some people that took the DAT the summer before their junior year and they took physics their junior year. then took upper division bio classes senior year and graduated on time.
i also took my DAT the summer before my junior year. i knew i was gonna be busy with the application process so i wanted to get it out of the way earlier. i also just finished ochem my sophmore year so it was fresh in my mind. i liked taking it early but a lot of people take it their junior year.
It would be best to take physics over the summer. I took physics I before going abroad the spring of my senior year. I am now taking physics II this spring. I have been waitlisted at several schools because I have not completed physics II despite having a number of interviews. Don't worry about the cost of taking it over the summer, it is best to finish the prerequisites. Some schools do not even give interviews to candidates that have not completed the prerequisites.
Trust me - you do NOT need to take physics right now - I took one last semester as a senior and am finishing physics 2 second semester senior year and it was completely fine for me! I definitely wouldn't worry about it right now
yeah. u just need to make sure u complete physics before you graduate. i took 1 semester junior year in the fall, then went abroad, and currently (senior year) taking 2nd semester.. and that turned out fine 🙂

Does anyone know if you need to take physics for science majors or can you just take one of the physics for non-majors? Maryland for example says you need
8 Semester Hours of Physics (including laboratories)
does it make a difference?
