Ugh...histo shelf. My best suggestion would be the histology and cell biology pretest. Pretest has these "high yield" sections and I have found them to be INCREDIBLY on point for all the shelf exams I have taken (like the anatomy one had this whole section on "lymphatic drainage of the vagina" and there were 5 questions on it on the shelf!). I also thought that High Yield Histology was pretty good.

Pretest is a book - my med school bookstore has them for everything (pre-clinical and clinical). It has board-style questions and then answers with thorough explanations.

Yeah, I found it a LITTLE harder than the shelf, but sadly not much 🙁. Just remember - the shelf is standardized so it's hard to get below a 50-something or above the mid-80s (as i understand it, but ANYONE who understands those things better is WELCOME to provide insight!!! PLEASE?!?).
I did surprisingly well on the histo shelf (took it a few months ago). I studied by doing decently in the class, and then I spent the night before reading BRS and doing all the questions in it. (= no sleep) I absolutely love BRS.
Also, I took the physio shelf at NJMS two years ago - did well by doing well in the class and again reading all of BRS and doing all the problems. I think I might have snuck in a few NMS problems for that too.
