Any substance that is filtered by glomeruli and secreted but not reabsrobed by renal tubules will have a renal clearance that is

- equal to the clearance of urea.
- equal to the clearance of inulin
- less than the clearance of inulin
- greater than the clearnace of inulin
- equal to the glomerular fileration rate

Please help on same.

Ans

inulin is neither reabsorbed nor secreted it is freely filtered.when the clearance is more than inulin then substance is secreted.

Given the following conditions:
Capsular hydrostatic pressure = 15 mm Hg
Glomerular plasma osmotic pressure = 25 mm
Glomerular hydrostatic pressure = 75 mm Hg

What is the NET FILTRATION RATE?
A. 35 mm Hg
B. 85 mm Hg
C. 65 mm Hg
D. 115 mm Hg

Prostaglandins within the seminal fluid are thought to:

A. cause ovulation
B. decrease sperm motility
C. stimulate muscular contractions within the uterus
D. stimulate the vestibular (Bartholin's) glands to produce mucus

someone plz answer these...

Given the following conditions:
Capsular hydrostatic pressure = 15 mm Hg
Glomerular plasma osmotic pressure = 25 mm
Glomerular hydrostatic pressure = 75 mm Hg

What is the NET FILTRATION RATE?
A. 35 mm Hg *
B. 85 mm Hg
C. 65 mm Hg
D. 115 mm Hg

25+15=40 75-40=35
Prostaglandins within the seminal fluid are thought to:

A. cause ovulation
B. decrease sperm motility
C. stimulate muscular contractions within the uterus
D. stimulate the vestibular (Bartholin's) glands to produce mucus *
(involved in suppressing an immune response by the female against the foreign semen)

please correct me if I'm wrong

prostaglandins in seminal vesicles involve in induction of muscular contractions in uterus to help propel the sperm forward(according to kaplan in physiology of reproduction )
