Physiology....does it matter if its animal or human?

Ask the schools you are applying and see which one they prefer, my guess is human physio will be more beneficial for you when you are studying physio later in optometry school.
 
I'm almost certain most schools require human anatomy/physiology, but call them to make sure. I know of a full-fledged veterinarian who applied for optometry school this year (wanted a change of career). Given his career, he had already taken animal anatomy/physiology courses. He was accepted, but needs to complete human anat/physio before the fall. This is at SCCO.

Wow, that sucks and sounds kind of unreasonable on the part of the opt school.
