i think the answer for 2nd q is B coz except for the mineralocorticoid(aldosterone), adrenal cortical secretion is controlled by ACTH

i think the answer to first q is C.cephalic phase of gastric secretion.
sighting, smelling of the food or presence of food in the mouth, causes stomach to secrete.that is,before the food reaches the stomach, secretion in the stomach begins as if stomach prepares itself for its digestive duties.this is mediated by vagus and called the cehalic phase of gastric secretion.

the answer is a, 100% sure, glucagon requires cortisol to stimulate its secretion. This proces got a name, but to be honest I dont remember. I'll look it up

The answer is B. TSH secreted by pituitary causes thryoxine release. The above reasoning cannot be true because cortisol is released by adrenal cortex and not the pituitary.

here you go
"PERMISSIVE" action of cortiosol.- cortisol enhances the capacity of glucagon and catecholalmines
glucagon: prmotes glycogenolysis in the liver. W/o cortisol fasting hypoglycemia rapidly develops.
catecholamines: promotes glycogenolysis and lypolisis in liver and mscl. W/o cortisol BP decreses.

I hope it'd help

you are rght, the question is in I-I asda released paper quest #51

c. cephalic phase of gastric secretion
d. pancreatic secretion of bicarbonate

The key to the question is pituitary tropic hormone. Cortisol is produced by adrenal coretx not pituitary.

1>
reflex mediated by vagus is
cephalic phase
mucus secretion from brunner glands and pancreatic secretion is harmonal reflex ..not through vagus

2>
thyroxin requires pitutary tropic harmone to be stimulated to be secreted from thyroid gland
it cannot be aldosterone bcoz ACTH doesnt control secretion of aldosterone [renin angiotension does]

TSH and ACTH are both pituitary tropic hormones. TSH is made by the corticotrope cells of the anterior pituitary, and ACTH is made by the thyrotrope cells of the anterior pituitary. TSH stimulates thyroxine secretion by the thyroid, and ACTH stimulates synthesis of adlosterone in the adrenal cortex.
