So basically I'm looking for one more class to satisfy the Bio pre-req...I have decided to take a Physiology class..

I have the choice of taking:

Physiology of Domestic and Laboratory Animals (w/lab) 5cr.

OR

General Physiology (w/lab) 5cr.

I would rather take the first one, as it will help me with my research a little better but dont know if the D-schools will accept it to satisfy the pre-req..

I think (not sure) gavin or sprgrover said as long as its "bio" it will work..But will it?

I'd take the 2nd one, it'll be more on the lines of the course you'll take in dental school

I would also say to take the second one...it'll do a lot more to help you prepare for dental school.

At the same time, if you're really interested in the first one more, you might as well go for it, b/c there will still be some overlap btw the physiology of animals vs. general physiology.

You can't really go wrong either way, I guess. 🙂

If you're interested in the domestic/lab animal physiology, I say go for it. You'll have to take physiology anyway in dental school. So- taking something a bit different will broaden your verison. Plus, I'm sure there'll be some overlaps between animal and human physiology.

Like you said, just make sure the dental schools you are planning on applying to recognize the domestic/lab animal physiology as fullfilling the req.

Bump for more info..

animal physiology is supposed to be harder...at least at my school that is the way it is 😀
